Dear Self: I Believe You Now

“I think you’re overthinking it.”
“It’s not that big of a deal.”
“That’s not what I said.”

Sound familiar?

Those phrases can come from anyone—sometimes people we deeply love, and other times from those who’ve hurt us most. Either way, they start to chip away at something sacred: our ability to trust ourselves.

When you’ve spent months—or even years—being dismissed, manipulated, or gaslit, it messes with your internal compass. You begin to question your own memory, your feelings, your gut instincts. And the hardest part? That doubt doesn’t always disappear when the relationship ends. Even after healing, that quiet voice still creeps in:
What if I’m wrong? What if I’m just being too sensitive again?

Learning to trust your own voice again is no small thing. It’s not a “step”—it’s a journey. A whole messy, beautiful process of remembering who you were before the noise got so loud.

You know her.
She’s the version of you who believed her feelings were valid.
Who trusted her gut.
Who didn’t shrink or second-guess every choice.

Reconnecting with her takes time—and it takes love. It means learning to hear your intuition again through all the static. And most importantly, it means being gentle with yourself when doubt still shows up. Because it will.

But that doesn’t mean you’re broken. It just means you’re still healing. And every time you choose to believe yourself again, you’re rebuilding something sacred—self-trust.

💛 Dear Self, I Believe You Now

If no one has told you lately—you’re not crazy, you’re not too much, and you’re definitely not broken. You’re someone who has walked through deep hurt and is learning how to trust again—starting with yourself. That’s courageous work.

You don’t need to have all the answers. You just need to take the next kind, brave step back to you.
