Grief, Growth, and Guilt: The Emotions No One Talks About
Grief is not just sadness.
It’s layered. It’s confusing. And sometimes, it comes with emotions you don’t expect—like guilt.
Over the past few months, I’ve experienced grief in a very real way. And what surprised me most wasn’t just the pain—it was everything that came with it.
Moments of joy that felt wrong.
Laughter that felt out of place.
Moving forward… while still hurting.
If you’ve ever felt this way, you’re not alone.
The Hidden Side of Grief
No one really talks about how grief can coexist with growth.
Or how you can be healing and hurting at the same time.
Or how guilt can creep in when life continues moving forward.
But all of that? It’s normal.
Why Guilt Shows Up
Guilt often comes from love.
From the feeling that if you’re okay—even for a moment—you’re somehow leaving someone or something behind.
But here’s the truth:
Moving forward doesn’t mean you’re forgetting.
It means you’re carrying love in a new way.
Giving Yourself Permission
If you’re navigating grief right now, I want to gently remind you:
You’re allowed to feel joy again
You’re allowed to keep growing
You’re allowed to have good days
And none of that takes away from what you’ve lost.
You Don’t Have to Carry This Alone
Grief can feel isolating—but it doesn’t have to be.
Having someone to talk to, process with, and gently guide you through the emotional weight can make all the difference.
If you’re navigating grief and need support, I’m here for you.
