Healing in Real Life: Not Pretty, Not Perfect, But So Worth It

By Misty, Heart Healing Life Coach 🇺🇸💫

Some days, healing feels like progress. Like lightness. Like hope in your chest and clarity in your mind.

And then there are days like today.

Days where it feels like everything you’ve worked through is crashing back down around you. Days when your heart aches not just for yourself, but for the people you love. Days when your triggers don’t whisper—they scream.

And that’s where I am right now.

I want to show up for you here—not from a place of having it all figured out, but from the messy middle. The part we don’t often see online. The part where the healing doesn’t look like yoga poses and green smoothies and morning routines. It looks like tear-streaked cheeks, canceled plans, short fuses, and holding on by a thread.

But here’s the thing: healing doesn’t stop just because it feels hard.

This is the real work. This is the part where compassion becomes the tool and grace becomes the goal.

It’s easy to talk about healing when life feels peaceful. But it’s holy when you choose healing on the days when your heart feels anything but whole.

Here’s What I’m Reminding Myself Today:

  • I can hold pain and still hold purpose.

  • Feeling triggered doesn’t mean I’ve failed—it means I’ve uncovered something still needing love.

  • Showing up messy is still showing up.

  • My kids don’t need me to be perfect. They need me to be present.

  • Crying is not a weakness; it’s proof that I’m still soft in a world that tries to make us hard.

If you’re in this space too—if your healing feels heavy and your strength feels spent—I want you to know something:

You are not broken. You are becoming.

Keep going. Not perfectly, not gracefully, but honestly. That’s where your power lives.

And when you can’t take another step, just breathe. Sometimes that’s the bravest thing you can do.

With you in the messy middle,
💛 Misty
